My Health In Every Sense…

     So I went to my physician for a general check up last week to see where I stood health wise. Physically I look like I’m in good shape, however, my results said otherwise. My cholesterol, thyroid, glucose, iron, liver and kidney functions were all out obscenely out of sync. Which completely explains my low energy, lack of motivation, and weak immune system. In a nut shell I’m physically a mess, and considering I just went through a break up and I’m a workaholic, it’s safe to say I could be more “there” mentally as well.

     I’m scared. BUT, I know a few things. I know that I have to get my life back some way or another. How am I really going to accomplish that? Well I’m going to start with what I have most control of… my physical health. I’ve preplanned and portioned out all of my food for the next several weeks, which are whole grain, organic, etc. I’ve thought about eliminating alcohol altogether, but considering the holidays are among us, I thought of a more REALISTIC approach of extremely limiting my alcohol consumption (which I must say has been working out A LOT better than expected). Not to mention I decided to restart my P90X so sync with this whole process. 

     As for the whole mental health issue, I can’t do anything but let time heal those wounds. Time will help me cope with my break up, and in time I will find someone I’m more deserving of, one who ACTUALLY CARES and SHOWS IT. With time I’ll start seeing results from my physical work out and nutrition program, which will give me the additional confidence I need in this vulnerable time. Not to mention I have an upcoming lucrative promotion at work, which will take a lot of stress off of my shoulders. As for now I can only take it a day at a time.
